will not play on my Sony BDP-S350 even though it has the latest firmware update 026. Does it have to be connected to the internet or what??? I took the disc back to the store and they showed me that it works. I also tried resetting the player to the original factory settings.
Update: I picked up a 2014 Panasonic player at a pawn shop and the disc works fine. I'd still like to know why the Sony won't work.
How old is the release of Super Duper Alice Cooper and is it a Sony/Columbia release?
I had the same problem with Starship Troopers, also a Sony/Columbia release, which was released in 2006, even on my new Sony BDP-S110 blu-ray player, which one would think would already have all the latest firmware updates. In the case of Starship Troopers, according to an Amazon user review, to get the disc to play requires adding memory to the blu-ray player in the form of sticking a Flash drive into the blu-ray player's USB slot. Seems a bit excessively involved to play a disc to me.
I gave the damn thing away. The guy I gave it to says it won't play the new Godzilla.
