What soaps are there...

What soaps are there nowadays? I love the dramatics when I'm just trying to forget about everything.

Days of Our Lives
The Young & the Restless
General Hospital
The Bold and the Beautiful

Thanks for the reply. I'm impressed there are that many left. I used to watch Santa Barbara and All My Children and One Life to Live. This was awhile ago you can guess.
I think I'm more into night time soaps now a days, but not sure there are really any of these either.

You're welcome. I grew up watching Days of Our Lives with my mom and she was also a loyal watcher of All My Children. Nowadays it seems like more and more talk shows have taken up most of daytime TV.

There was nothing better than AMC. The lone soap I followed religiously. Sometimes I'd force myself to not watch each day, but, to VCR 'em, then I'd settle in Friday evening & watch the entire 5 hour extravaganza buzzing thru the commercials. That was heaven.

Once they killed "Jenny" off the show lost it's kilter & I signed off. The days of "Jessie" with that little 1/2 moon scar on his forehead, "Billy Clyde" with his special delivery (he'd reappear in the "Lonesome Dove" miniseries) - "Enid" & "Tad" - that woman who played mother to "Tad" & "Jenny" was an absolutely riot, but, went to "Mama's Family" - tender, fragile, diabetic "Nina" & her trailing "Cliff" --- her father/"Palmer" diabolically spoiling their forever budding relationship. "That Cane woman." I never got into the "Erica" story lines unless it pertained to the characters I enjoyed. Lucci's style did not appeal to me. I never experienced (an hour) going so damn fast.

So much more, Daisy. Grand days.

& remember during the closing credits they'd show the actual show & action still going on. It'd be nothing of import, but, it kept one around till the actual end of the show each day.
