Which one did you think was worse? I'm not exactly sure...2012 was SLIGHTLY better written and acted but Godzilla wasn't as annoying (unless you're a Godzilla fan). I might have to go with Godzilla '98 here: both are bad but 2012 is annoying and bad while Godzilla '98 is just bad.
I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

I haven't seen 2012, but I can already tell you that it is better than Godzilla '98. That movie is a disgrace to Godzilla films. It shouldn't even be considered a Godzilla film, it is a Zilla film. Zilla sucks, as shown in Godzilla Final Wars
