Her ethnic background

People asked this question earlier. I just read her imdb biography. If accurate, then Rebecca Hall is approximately, 6/8ths Caucasian (northwestern European), 1/8th Native American Indian, and 1/8th black. Bear in mind that the purported 1/8th black may or may not be 100% African to begin with, as many 'black' people today, for example, in America, may already possess some Caucasian, even Native American genes in the. Whatever the genetic makeup, the results made Rebecca Hall a genetic lottery winner, a beautiful, tall, shapely woman.

She had a DNA test done for a show ('Finding Your Roots').

91% European, 9% sub-Saharan African.

She doesn't showcase much SSA ancestry physically, her mother though did (she would have been nearly 1/5th SSA). Her mother had quite notable SSA facial features though white skin.

On Finding Your Roots, Hall discovered that, while her maternal grandfather, Norman Isaac Ewing, had performed as a Native American figure and was recorded as a Sioux chief in newspapers, he had been born to mixed-race African-American parents, and had no Native American ancestry. His own father, Hall's great-grandfather John William Ewing, had been born into slavery and became a prominent figure in Washington, D.C.'s black community. Rebecca has 91% European DNA and 9% sub-Saharan African DNA according to an Ancestry.com DNA test.
