Maybe reduces this to pretty much an episode of Loki? Almost feels like how they've started adding the cartoon stuff into Star Wars live action and it makes it seem slightly less cinematic...
Who knows though, perhaps I'll be (gladly) mistaken here.
Interesting point, but the DP movies are so 'out there' the fact its coming across as an episode of Loki feels sort of apt/meta. I mean it wouldn't be too shocking if Deadpool transported into an episode of Knight Rider or A Team
shareFair point - if they actually addressed it with a "Hey, this seems very familiar..." it might turn out being quite funny.
But otherwise, be a shame if Tom from Succession is literally just going to be playing Owen Wilson in this one...
