Actually open forums on the Internet

Why is this one of the few sites on the entire Internet where you can still openly discuss whatever you want? No censorship (or so little that it's not noticeable). Is there any other refuge?

I miss the old Internet, and Usenet. Felt like here.

is USENET still around? I havent bothered keeping track.

I dont use REDDIT much but I heard it was clamping down also.

Who are all these pussies that can't deal with people having opinions? Or reality?
If someone is "triggered" by a word, that's THEIR problem, not the other 8 billion people's problem.

"...but words will never HURT me".

BEING A USELESS ASSHOLE IS BEING A USELESS ASSHOLE...THE INDIVIDUAL WORDS HAVE LITTLE TO DO WITH IT.

Reddit used to be great, and censorship was considered such an impossibility there that it was a literal April Fool's joke that they'd implement the ability for mods to delete things. But it fell far and fast, and now it's all bots, idiots, corporations, and fanatical far-left powermods.

I think actual is the word you’re looking for, actually.

It's like that Twilight Zone episode with that town that Death forgot about.

The Mark Zuckerhamburglers and Lex Luthors of this world haven't tainted it with their unholy touch - yet.

I do love how freedom of speech triggers some people - is that wrong?
