RECENTLY I POSTED ABOUT COMING ACROSS A BUNCH OF FREE TOOLS...HAVING BELONGED TO A DECEASED VETERAN NAMED ANTHONY TESSIER...

THE HOUSE IS NOT FAR FROM MY DAUGHTER'S SCHOOL...SO I HAVE BEEN CHECKING...JUST IN CASE...AND TODAY...BOOM...TWO GIANT BOXES...FULL OF MORE TOOLS!

INCLUDING A CHALK LINE AND ENOUGH CHALK TO LAST A LIFETIME....I NEEDED A CHALKLINE...

I WAS...WE WAS 80...VIETNAM VET(I HAVE HIS DOG TAGS)...WORKED FOR KODAK FOR DECADES...REPAIR SPECIALIST.

What a gold mine for you! I have a number of my dad's tools that are still in good condition. Generally, they work better than most things made these days. They really do last a lifetime and then some.

MY GRANDFATHER WAS AN ELECTRICIAN AND I INHERITED WHAT WAS LEFT OF HIS TOOLS WHEN THE RELATIVES GOT DONE PICKING...ANTHONY'S TOOLS FILL IN ALL THOSE GAPS LEFT BY GREEDY RELATIVES.

His family didn't really throw them away. They gave them away. As for not caring, the fact that they didn't just toss them in the trash says they realized the tools were worth something and would be welcomed by somebody. One must also consider that a family has a lot to deal with when a family member dies. When you're grieving a loss, it can be painful to have to sort through their belongings.

We need some pictures - especially of the dog tags - he can live forever digitally (well part of him, and as long as we have an internet, you know what I mean).
