James Bond

Why did he never came out in a James Bond movie? He is so James Bond material more than Daniel Craig.

reply

He's not British, and even if he could pull off a convincing accent, it would just be so odd since the guy bleeds stars and stripes.

However, I would love to see him in one of the Bourne films as a very high-up person in pursuit of the rouge agents.

reply

He could do either one. I think he could pull it off without a bit of trouble...he's got talent you haven't even seen. With his deep voice...he could do a proper bit of Brit accent.

reply

His deep voice? I like Selleck, but one attribute he does not possess is a deep voice!

reply

Because there were 20 better British actors around at the time his age would have been appropriate for the role...

reply

With the exception of Barry Nelson, the first actor in the role, Bond has traditionally been portrayed by a British or British Commonwealth actor. Since there are plenty of them around, there has been no reason to seek out an American for the part.
