His name isn't Prince, that would be Michael Jackson's son's legal name. His second name isn't even Harry!

His legal name is: Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex (as evidenced by his child's birth certificate.)

Why not legally change his name to Harry and then give himself a surname?

That would show some real independence.

I can see him doing that if he gave up his citizenship, which we all know he will not. Despite his country being in the shitter, he loves it. Harry is the nickname given to him by his mother.
