Season 5, Episode 5: The Plague That Came to Ford's Run

For the heck of it, I just watched Bad Day at Black Rock, which I had never seen all the way through, and there are marked similarities. The plot of the main character coming to an unfriendly town seeking someone, being told the person "left" and finding his place trashed, and specifically finding flowers growing in one spot and nowhere else, are lifted directly from the movie. There are also differences, such as in the episode, one of the hostile townspeople being the main character's friend (in the movie all the townspeople were strangers) and particularly in how the situation is resolved, let's just say the movie is a lot more violent, although both place the main character in mortal peril. "The Plague That Came to Ford's Run" is not as similar as Season 6, episode 13, "An Angel Cried," which is a direct copy of the movie Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison.
