Doesn't seem like there is many fun things to do on board. Like how much schufflboard can one actually play?

LOL - you're right, but it's a sign of how cruise ships have changed over 30 years. I thought the set was looking a little dated even by the mid-80s episodes, but by that time the ratings had fallen and they weren't going to spend the money to update it. They did an episode toward the end of the run that focused on how the ship was getting "refreshed", but all they did was paint the set.

What got me was ONE bartender for the whole ship? There'd be mutiny on the Carnival Cruises if they did that.

Agree, that ship looked dull, but I guess the point was for people to hook up and have lots of sex. Hence the name Love Boat.
