How many years did Simon & Simon air on A&E?
Despite having watched the show in the early '80s, I never did watch it when it was on the A&E channel during the 1990s and (IIRC) the early 2000's on weekday afternoons at four or five p.m., possibly followed by Murder, She Wrote or Magnum, P.I..
Did anyone watch S&S during that time frame? If so, what did A&E's weekday detective show schedule look like?
Answering one of my own questions...according to the all-knowing, never-incorrect Wikipedia, Simon & Simon aired on A&E 1999-2003:

Now if I could only find A&E's vintage promotions for the show...
So it must have done well if they ran it for four years. They would go through all the episodes in about 9 months, if they aired one episode each day Monday to Friday. Meaning it had to cycle through at least 6 times.
But where has it been for the last 13 years? Except for those first few seasons on Hulu, the later episodes are hard to find. And the discs are rather expensive (for the average consumer).
The channel DeJe View aired the show once a week in 2005, not sure how long that run lasted. Then in 2008 The Mystery Channel began airing it, that run lasted until early in season 4. The last episode they aired was "Manna from Heaven". I was able to record the uncut version of "A Little Wine with Murder?" from that run.
shareI watched it during that time, at least the last year or two. I seem to remember it began airing at 1pm and was repeated at 7pm. A&E then switched the airings to 5am.
shareIt's quite impressive that S&S aired on A&E for that long. I remember the Hallmark Channel giving up on showing morning episodes of Bonanza after about four days back in 2006 or so!
I took S&S on A&E for granted. If it weren't for the dvd sets I would be kicking myself for not having recorded the A&E run.
During the last year A&E aired Simon & Simon I started recording the show as well. I would set-up my VCR to record them at 5am and would later re-record from that VCR to another so I could take out the commercials. I was a little pissed because I had almost every episode except for the first 4 or 5 from season two and that's when A&E ceased airing the show.

From that run I was able to record the original uncut network version of the episode "A Little Wine with Murder?", where as the DVD set uses the syndicated version.
