Did anyone else notice.......?

That the car's voice and intonation was cloyingly sweet and sticky? Oh, the way he says "Myyyyyke..e.e.l." Then in the rebooted new series, they had an ad where the new KITT follows Mike around on his dates. A jealous stalking lover? Was KITT supposed to be gay? Why didn't they just make KITT female? Then she could have been KITTY and we would have had titillating lines like: "Oh, Myyyyyychaeeeel, come on inside and close the door." "Have a seat on my nice velvet lap." "Why don't you wrap your hands around my steering wheel?" With the male KITT the way he seemed to me, I half expected him to say: "Go on on and touch my shift knob." Eeewwwww...
