50th Anniversary

Just watched an episode and the credits start with:
"In 1972, a crack commando team was arrested for a crime they didn't commit...."

That makes 2022 the 50th anniversary of the team's infamous robbery. Now if only we knew the date. The closet I can come to pinning it down is where Hannibal mentions that Morrison was killed in a shelling at "Pah Nang" (I think) during S04E23 - "The Sound of Thunder". Was that a real event?
