do you think there were people in the 80s who wrote to the a-team for help?

perhaps wrote to the studio asking for them? is there a definitive making of the a-team book out there?

Yes there was. The A Team was based on real stories, although names have been changed. All of the episodes were based off actual accounts of real life events
