Hawke finds girlfriend dying in desert but doesn't give her a drink

I watched the pilot again after many years and some new thoughts came to me.

I realised that they spot her in the desert at the end, land Airwolf and he runs over to find her all sunburnt, dehydrated and dying. Santini brings him the canteen of water but all he does is spread a little around her lips. He should have immediately poured it over her face and in her mouth? Or would the body go into some kind of shock if that suddenly happened? I know she died like 30 seconds later but he couldn't have known that for certain.

Also, when Airwolf lands in this scene Hawke has somehow changed over to the left seat!

But something else I realised for the first time is that Moffat raped Gabrielle in the sun next to his jeep. There's a scene where he is talking to her, then goes quiet, glances down at her body and starts untying her legs. Later on she is found laid out on the ground.
