Did anyone actually buy the music cd?

I remember on the show they were always trying to get people to buy the music CD for the band that did the songs on the show. I never knew anyone who bought it or wanted to. I just remember them always advertising it. Not sure if anyone ever won at the end of the show either, it was really hard. Good show, just a few things that randomly popped in my mind about it.
