Theo was a bisexual creep taking advantage of Nell

the movie sort of hinted at that Theo was sort of a kinky bisexual or whatever and she was pretty much taking advantage of Nell since Nell was shy

Theo is definitely a full-on lesbian. Shirley Jackson wrote her as one and Claire Bloom said it was that aspect of the character that drew her to the role in the original 1963 movie. She's also portrayed in a way that leaves no room for any doubt in Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House Netflix series.
