A white lead would have brought in more money

Face it Disney, you're blowing your profits by making movies with non white leads. China especially doesn't like non-white characters.

reply

HEY....DO ME A FAVOR...IF YOU ARE GOING TO POST DUMBASS THINGS SERIOUSLY...AT LEAST TRY A LITTLE HARDER...DISNEY IS SOME BASIC BITCH TYPE TERRITORY.

Why did you type that in verses?

reply

Because she’s the greatest poet of her generation.

reply

Very poetic. Noticed how Disney's share price is half of what it was 3 years ago?

reply

All of what you said is correct.

reply

WHAT HE SAID WAS BLATANT RACISM.

reply

Nowadays, one man’s facts are another man’s racism.

reply

A white lead would have brought in more money

RACISM...DEVOID OF ANY FACTS.

reply

The success of Frozen must be a fluke then.

reply

Yeah, total fluke. Audiences are colorblind, unless it comes to white characters. They hate white characters.

reply

Actually, the movie juat isn't very good. But that's not because of a black lead. I mean Cars 2 was horrible and that's about as white of a cast and one could have (or in your case, hope for). If Cinderella was black, I am pretty sure it would of been just a famous a movie.

reply

Waits for the "That's Racist" comments in 3 2 1

reply

The more children are exposed to other races, the more united our world will be when they grow up. That is something that we should all want.

reply

I am quite convinced that Ashas skin color the least of the problems in Wish is.

reply

Okay, so lets expand this, does this mean you think every movie made in the USA should always have white lead characters?

reply

No, if the non white person has the star power to bring in audiences. Example, Eddie Murphy in his prime.

reply

So it's only acceptable to cast a black actor in a primary role if they have "star power"?

reply

Or the story specifically calls for a black person to be cast. Otherwise you will lose money. It's show BUSINESS afterall, and businesses need to make money and as much as they can (profit maximization)

reply

>Or the story specifically calls for a black person to be cast.

What would be the criterion for it specifically *needing* to be a black person? Why would there need to be a specific justification?

Do you hold the same opinion for asian, hispanic etc leads?
