Mad Max The Wasteland details in new issue of Empire

In current Furiosa issue of Empire G Miller discloses a few details about Mad Max '5' The Wasteland saying it still might happen and like Furiosa its a prequel focusing on Max and the events that led to his appearance at start of Fury Road (so.. basically what the original 3 Mad Max films were??). Furiosa was made first as the script was more developed

he also states he intended to have Furiosa played by Charlize deaged (as was previously known) but then he saw The Irishman and realised the CG wasn't quite there and then figured it didn't matter anyway as he's going back 15 years so Furiosa would look different anyway (the character hardly looks like Charlize Theron in the Fury Road movie anyway , so ATJ is really just playing the character as opposed to 'Young Charlize Theron'. And they've already recast a young mad max. Notice in the new pics she appears to be wearing blue contacts to match Charlize eye colour, I think they did the same with Tom Hardy in FR gave his eyes a blue tint in certain scenes as if to match Mel).

He states that Charlize gave him the idea to make the Furiosa prequel saying that when making Fury Road she said shed rather make the backstory notes/early script he'd given her about Furiosa origins than Fury Road
