Personally I thought it was quite good for the 1st few season but like nearly all shows they run out of ideas or we, the audience, lose interest in the characters/actors or something more drastic happens. Unfortunately, far too often they then limp on for a season or several too many.
Your opinion, and that's ALL it is. There is a certain aberration which causes some people to think their opinion is universal truth. It's not.
Obviously, the actors, the roles, and the series had millions of fans who enjoyed ALL of that, or it wouldn't have lasted.
Get over yourself.
The first few seasons were good, with the exception of the annoying, self-righteous daughter, but the show gradually fell apart and the finale was absurd.
And only a small child would think a show from less than five years ago was "dated".
