Now, ducks for cover, I loved Lie to Me and devoured the first two series, however if you look at Cal in series one, then look at him again in Series 3.
It's as if the plots got so thin they had to mask it with Lightman's over-acting. It has been said elsewhere about when did this series start going downhill and it really was series 3. Now many shows have a bad season and get a reprieve, look at Dexter 03 Vs. 04, and you will know what I mean.
Sadly Series 4 never came and Lie to Me was left on a downer, never a good thing.
No offense meant to those who love it still, if they had canned it after series 2 I would have also been waving the flags as at that point it was still a masterpiece.
