Star Wars + Avatar + Samurai + Mag Seven + Star Trek + Indiana Jones = RM

Then there's Battle Beyond the Stars, which goes back to the Magnificent Seven, which goes back to Seven Samurai, which links back into Star Wars. Then we have that silly flying animal-taming Avatar thing, and action setups similar to Indiana Jones, then the Borg Queen from Star Trek shows up also. Laser-like swords too.

Was very repetitive with the visits to each world, and I'm sure it will be seen by a whole new group of audiences which wouldn't watch the older movies it is derived from, so it wasn't really aimed at me.

And how those people all managed to walk around at the end with blasts of lasers flying around everywhere, I don't know...

But I was sitting there thinking, "What else could possibly pop up?" I was expecting a xenomorph-like alien to come along next, just to add another problem for our heroes.

The ship designs were poor, the evil young admiral and his long dialogues seemed tiring.

But I'll watch the sequel just to see what happens. The brain socket thing was interesting.
