It was sad that the guy took his own life years ago, but it just goes to show that money and fame does not buy happiness. Apparently he was suffering from depression. He had a successful career and money and he still wasn't happy.
shareI still miss his character. I know the show is about Jane and Maura, but I LOVED Frost. With him no longer there, I felt like something was missing and I could not keep watching.

Apparently, Lee Young had bipolar disorder, and struggled with the symptoms for years. It must've been absolutely devastating for his friends and family - I really miss seeing him on screen. He was such a talented young man (and by all accounts, one of the nicest people in Hollywood) I can only imagine where his life would have taken him had he lived.
^ and I absolutely agree, R&I was never the same afterwards. Barry Frost was a brilliant character, completely brought to life through Young's charm, humor and skill. A damn shame. :(
