Perpetuates a debunked MYTH

That we only use 10% of our brains total. What BULLSHIT!

Plus, using the entirety of our grey matter won't allow us to transcend into godlike entities and do wire-fu. It's still an awesome movie, though. Great action scenes, that quirky goodness that Beson brings to all his stuff, and I found the themes of transcendence to be thought-provoking, even if based in gobbledegook. Doesn't bother me.

Except the debunked myth is derived from a misunderstanding... it's not "we only use 10% of our brains" - the brain has been fully mapped and there's only a tiny amount that isn't used that is theorised to be something we evolved not to need.

The correct statement is that "we only use about 10% of our brain at any given moment", and that has been proven correct many times. Taking a split second scan of the brain never shows more than about 10% in use but which parts depends on what we're doing. Those people found to be on higher end (close to 12%) have outstanding memory recollection, do amazing math in their head etc.

But too often people leave off the end of the statement, leading to a lot of misunderstanding and arguments... the movie does it too.
