Hollywood is so empty headed and toxic

Why do we see the same brain dead hit-person movies over and over? Is it the audience that is insane to watch this junk or have Americans been driven insane from the endless moronic movies we are fed? Kids are growing up thinking hit-man or assassin is a career possibility.
