Adult Sheldon does correct grammar, but he often used Texas and Southern colloquialisms and he sometimes slurs his words. I attribute this to Jim Parsons being a native Texan and Iain Armitage is not. I didn't see anything preachy about it, but I wasn't crazy about the last 3 either. They were pretty depressing. Henry Cavill looks the most like Superman is supposed to look, but those movies he was in were awful. I don't think that's Henry's fault, but it just shows that having the perfect look isn't everything. Yes it was a total f-u to real life Harry and it was hilarious! Cast an ugly guy in the role when everybody knows Harry was the hot one, then make him out to be a total prick and a fuck up. It was the best thing about the final season. He got some funny lines, but the producers weren't the slightest bit subtle about what they think of Harry. 😄 I don't know if the movie will be good, but seeing Jon feed kitten Garfield some pizza was pretty cute! 🐈 There was an episode where Martin appeared in a commercial for a tough long crime candidate for Congress. Of course Niles and Frasier are appalled, so they find a liberal candidate to their likening and donate and endorse him; but turns out he thinks he's been the victim of alien abduction at some point in his past so that sinks his candidacy! It's a funny episode, but the idea that such a turn of events would keep a left-winger from winning In Seattle is even funnier! If you don't like the ending, there's hundreds of Harlequin novels with the ending you want! I love the last scene including the sound of Joe's shoes clicking as he walks away. It's so real. I just wish they had not used the soaring music at the very last second. The silence of the hall was more powerful. "Well, thats a clean sweep! I added Glenn Ford -- a top 50's star -- to the possibles. Thoughts?" Hmm..I usually think of him as a "westerns" actor, but he might have worked. He doesn't really do it for me in the looks department, though. Gary Cooper would have been perfect in his younger days, but he was 57 by then. He's still one the sexiest "movie stars" ever. Peter O'Toole could have done Shep justice, but he was too young and unknown in the US. Sean Connery was about to become a huge star and he could have been good, but he was also too young and unknown. Jimmy Stewart. It's one of my favorites and I think the "miscast" narrative is overblown. However, Grant would have been good, but he was even older than Stewart. It's a hard no on Hudson and Holden. Sinatra wouldn't be right either. Dean Martin was hot, but he was 40 already by 1958. Gregory Peck might be a possibility, but did he ever do a light romance? Roman Holiday is technically a rom-com, but it's really pretty serious. Rod Taylor would have been good because he was ruggedly handsome and always looked good in the tailored fashions of that time, but he was only 28 and still pretty unknown. I don't think it's that bad. It's interesting just as a window into mid-century air travel. It's too slow and the suspense just kind of fizzles out, but I kinda liked it in spite of that. It could have been a lot better, but it was probably pretty cool to see on a big screen in 1954. View all replies >
