Several books by Louis L'amour would make awesome movies. All of his books do have many historical facts in them.

I would absolutly love to see the King Arthur trilogy of books by Bernard Cornwell filmed

I'd love to see an adaptation of James L. Swanson's Manhunt: The Search for Lincoln's Killers.
