SOLVED: Need help finding this 80s dance song!!!

I can't remember how the lyrics go, but the music sounded like something they would play in 80s teen movies and it had echoes in the chorus like Duran Duran's The Reflex. It has the same synthpop vibe as these songs:

Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order

Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung

Just Can't Get Enough- Depeche Mode

Was it "Birds Fly (Whisper To A Scream)" by Icicle Works?

Nope, but I love that song, tho. It has that party song feel like Wang Chang's Everybody Have Fun Tonight.

Can you picture a music video for it? If so, what was the scenario? Also male or female vocalist? Was it a crossover new wave dance like, say, Human League or was it more clubby, alternative radio like Stephen "Tin Tin" Duffy? This has been fun to "investigate" because I've been on jury duty and spent my entire day on Spotify New Wave playlists. Great memories!

Yes, I can remember hearing a man's voice in the song, but I'm not sure if the song was sung by one male or from a band that consists of males. I feel like so many 80s New Wave/Pop bands sound so much alike that it would probably be hard to distinguish for a first time listener. I don't think the song I am looking for was sung by Duran Duran, ABC, or The Police, that's for sure. The singing kinda sounded similar to Depeche Mode's Just Can't Get Enough or New Order's Bizzare Love Triangle. I'm gonna have to check out "Tin Tin", the person you mentioned.

As for music video, it sounded the video would be taken place at a school dance. Like something you would hear from "The Wedding Singer" soundtrack, but I don't think it was ever featured on the soundtrack.

"The Wedding Singer" makes me think of one of my favorite 80's songs of any genre:

Also, maybe some lists will help you locate the tune:

My last day of jury duty and it's been a blast going down memory lane of my college days (and dancing like Belinda Carlisle).

I'm a little puzzled my self, because when Depeche Mode was mentioned, my thoughts turned to the German band Camouflage.

When they released the track The Great Commandment, people thought that they actually where Depeche Mode, because the style of Camouflage was the same, plus their lead singer sounded a lot like Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode.

Never heard of them but you're spot-on: they are a German version of Depeche Mode. I listened to 3 of their songs, liking "That Smiling Face" the most.
