Why Are Atheists Allowed To Star In Movies! I Hate Them!

Let me make this very clear, I am a tolerant, open-minded and kind person. I am very Liberal in regards to Religion and understanding of what others believe. I have friends that are Muslim, Catholic and even Jewish so that shows I am a tolerant person.
However, one group of people I will not tolerate and have utter loathing for are Atheists. Let me explain why.
I feel it is ungrateful and offensive to deny God's existence as he is the only reason we exist. To say he isn't there is a slap in the face to God and the gift of life. I am a dedicated Christian and I personally take comfort in knowing how bad it's going to be for Atheists in the afterlife because they are filth.

Don't get me wrong, I don't preach to people who have chosen to follow idiotic or incorrect religions because I recognise that everybody has different beliefs, but to deny God entirely is not only offensive but also ridiculous. If there is no creator then creation could not exist. So claiming that creation has no creator is like saying that a building doesn't have a builder. Silly, silly Atheists.

Do I hate Atheists? Yes. Do I wish harm on them? Also yes.
I am not a violent person but I must confess I do think back fondly of an experience back in college where me and some friends forced an Atheist rat to eat mud. I once spat in my own mothers face for questioning God's existence. I'm not normally aggressive but Atheism pisses me off and quite rightly so.

I have recently disowned my own Nephew because he told me he doesn't believe in God so that proves I mean business. Atheism is filth and I will fight it until the day I die.
You may wonder if I have changed my mind about Atheists now that I am a grown man. The answer is no. I long to see them cast into the Lake of fire. I don't even pray for them anymore because I want them to burn.

I don't believe in physical violence of any kind and I would never use it. But I do pray every day that God destroys the wicked and takes his chosen children to Heaven. May God have mercy on you bastards on Judgement day.

Agree. Can't handle criticism either. God loves all his children wether they believe or not πŸ™.

I resurrected it by replying. I've been looking through all the old Moviechat threads.

because it's hilariously well conceived and executed.

OK...πŸ™‡β€β™€οΈ

reply

It was so meticulously planned that it needed its own dedicated one-hit-wonder account!

reply

A for effort, I guess.

reply

Wow, you're quite shitty at being Christian.

reply

This was written by an atheist troll..

reply

Yeah, I would have thought. These views are far too extreme to be taken seriously.

reply

Atheists aren't viewed as a threat, like conservatives or the middle class.

reply

Do you just think that because you are a conservative or middle class, you can't be an atheist?

reply

Hey jerk, there is not an ounce of proof that a god exists. Atheists have it right. Give me proof!!!!!
The earth is ancient, ancient, 4.5 BILLION years old. I'll wait for your proof, but not too long. I prefer logic and reasoning. Get a life.

reply

you missed the point.

reply

And the point being??? The OP wrote that he hates atheists and wishes them harm.

reply

taking the post seriously misses its point, which is to ridicule the intolerance of many Christians. he/she is taking that intolerance to a ridiculous degree.

its a joke, with a point behind.

you may not find it funny, or probative, but that's what it is.

reply

Ohhhhhh. . I wasn't aware it was a joke. It riles me when people can't respect the religious preference or choice of atheism. Everybody is different. But thanks for your reply, and Happy New Year!

reply

same to you :)

parody aside, what the parody was actually drafting upon, is a basic truth to the phenomenon that religious people are in many, perhaps most cases more comfortable with those of different religions, even those with radically different belief systems, than with those who hold with none of them.

there is a tendency to view non-believers as un-moored, un-safe, alien.

it's a thing :

Social science has long revealed high rates of secularphobia – the irrational dislike, distrust, fear, or hatred of nonreligious people – within American society. For example, a study by Penny Edgell of the University of Minnesota, from back in 2006, found that atheists come in last place when Americans are asked to rank members of certain racial, ethnic, or religious groups as potential spouses for their kids.
...
we can account for the current level of secularphobia in the US by considering these four factors:

1. Americans equate a lack of religiosity in general – or atheism specifically – with immorality.

2. Americans equate a lack of religiosity in general – or atheism specifically – with being un-American and/or unpatriotic.

3. There is no stigma concerning the expressed dislike of the non-religious. While there is a stigma (to varying degrees, depending on one’s social milieu) attached to being racist, or anti-Semitic, or Islamophobic, or homophobic – there has never existed a social or cultural backlash against people who openly express disdain for secular folks. So people simply feel much more comfortable expressing their dislike for atheists than, say, Latinas/os or women.

4. Insecurity on the part of the religious. Faith – believing claims without sufficient evidence, or claiming to know things that you don’t or can’t know – is an increasingly shaky endeavor. And in order for religious faith to survive, it requires a lot of social support

β€œ4. Insecurity on the part of the religious. Faith – believing claims without sufficient evidence, or claiming to know things that you don’t or can’t know – is an increasingly shaky endeavor. And in order for religious faith to survive, it requires a lot of social support: the more people who share it, the easier it is to maintain and reproduce. Thus, anyone who rejects the tenets of your faith, or calls them in to question, is a threat. Atheists lack a faith in God, and thus theists are particularly threatened by the growing presence of such humans, as they call into question the very thing that is ever so shaky to begin with: religious faith.”
