Walensky's departure was announced on May 5 by the CDC and President Biden, CNN reports. The president thanked Walensky for guiding “a complex organization on the frontlines of a once-in-a-generation pandemic with honesty and integrity.”.

It's no accident these figure heads during Covid are walking away from their positions. People like her ruined the trust in these government institutions.

Amen to that. However, I hope they don’t believe that by simply resigning they are immune from any future repercussions of their actions during their tenure.
