Could you take a charged laptop out in the woods middle of the night and watch this alone?

Someone once said that this movie is more funny than scary, and just annoying with that one demon lady laughing so much. That its not really scary at all.

I came up with this scenario. "Get a laptop that is fully charged along with the movie. Go out into the nearby woods at 1am, and sit on a log and watch this entire movie by yourself before coming back out of the woods". I honestly think they wouldnt last. They would leave the woods before this movie was over. I personally wouldnt even do it.

reply

No. I'm not even strong enough to carry a 50 pound bag of dogfood. I'd probably be the first victim.

reply

I edited the title so people would understand in the future, I dont mean "survive being attacked by demons like in the film".

reply

I think any movie would be scary to watch in the woods alone at night.

reply

I reckon just being alone in the woods with no cover is scary enough.

Sitting on that log, with the evil dead movie playing, only light is coming from that laptop... which means your nightvision is obscured because your eyes cannot focus on anything in particular the darkness beyond. Twigs snapping and noises from afar...you feel like youre being watched. Its a tough viewing experience!

reply

I'd be up for it!

reply

Are you really gonna try it? Go during the day and find a spot, set up a log to sit on, mark or know how to reahc that spot. Then let someone know where you are going and then go out at night, late night, and watch the movie! Let us know how it goes and if you got scared : )

oh and bring a gun or taser!

reply

Not a lot of woodland near me, unfortunately, but you've got me curious to try. If I do I'll let you know when, and I'll let you know how it goes!

Sadly, both gun and taser illegal here.

reply

I dont want to get you killed.

Be careful if you try it. I've learned that illegal or against policy or we rather you not blah blah could actually get you hurt or killed. At some point you realize you gotta protect yourself in some situations or some areas without worrying about what is legal. Dont go into some serious woods without something. Even a knife and flashlight is better than nothing. At least the woods close to my home are not filled with wild cats and big game. It could still be dangerous, but not as much as a national forest know what I mean?

Though there was one time I went walking with my cousin on a road right next to these woods, with a stretch that had no lights, and mid sentence talking we both stop quickly as we hear these long howls of coyotes and they had to be within running distance it was so loud. We went straight home and next time we walked we carried big sticks and flashlights.

I'll definitely take something 😊

i'd prefer to take a portable DVD player with a small television but that's just my preference

reply

You mean a portable DVD player that has its own little screen attached? If its running on a battery that could work.

reply

that could work, too

reply

I'm one for going to bed early.

I am as likely to fall asleep it I started watching a film at 1am as anything.

reply

But would you fall asleep alone, in the woods, with this movie playing?

reply

Absolutely. I don't scare easily and used to go camping alone all the time. 😊

reply

If you try it out let us know! Im curious as to what time during the film you begin to feel uneasy and if you actually finish it alone in those woods. Remember, my scenario has you sitting on some log no cover when you watch it, only light coming from the laptop shining upon you. You break the rules if you are just lazily laying within a tent as the movie plays. Thats not the same experience. You gotta be exposed as you watch.

reply

Ok I will. It's going to be some time though because my vacation time doesn't start for another month 😊

reply

I would've thought the Blair Witch Project would've been the movie to feel uneasy while watching in the woods??

reply

That would be a good one. But the dark woods play a major role in this film. Besides at the time I thought of this scenario, I lived in an old house partly enveloped with woods right behind it. And those woods felt eerie as if someone was watching you. I may as well have been in the cabin! xD Im just kidding, that cabin was very secluded in the movie. The old house I was in did have other homes nearby, but they werent as close to the woods as it was.
