How many movies can one film rip-off?
Alien, The Thing, Jaws. I would have said The Abyss as well, if it hadn't come out the same year.

And if we look hard, we can find homages to other films in most every film ever made.

I would use the word inspired even if it did rip off The Thing the most. Hell, this movie was entertaining. Better then most of the crap Hollywood spews out now a days.

Pretty sure other horror movies and other sci Fi movies copy each other all the damn time. Go watch the old 198s movies Initiation, The Burning, Sleep away Camp, Ghoulies, Critters. They all copy other movies like Gremlins etc.
so don't single out Leviathan for "copying" Alien or whatever
