Is it every really explained cylons vs humans?

So I am on the second viewing of this show: And *spoiler* one of the cylons are now pregnant. I know there is a subplot of future hybrids etc.

But is it ever explained WHY cylons are organic and not mechanic anymore other than they are suppose to mimic humans? Are we just going to have to accept it, or did they in anyway explain why cylons can get pregnant?

They did not explain, but really all you need to know is that Cylons are not mechanical robots.

They are artificial humans.

Indistinguishable from real humans.

They have skin, bones, blood and cells, just like we do.

The only difference is theirs were made artificially.

There is a strong similarity to the Replicants from the Blade Runner films, who, coincidentally, were also shown able to get pregnant and give birth.

Becoming more and more organic over time was their way of evolving, to become more like the humans who built them in the first place.

Think of our modern day AI projects currently striving to give machines "more human" thinking ability.
