I stopped this empty, Wes Anderson looking trash after 10 minutes

As soon as I saw the Wes Anderson looking visuals and heard the smug, hipster iPod playlist soundtrack I pressed stop, then skipped forward to see if that Ella chick shows any skin. She briefly does, so at least there's that.

Typical pathetic incel that you are, you obviously missed the point. Their underground "Fallout" shelter that they have been living in for over 200 years is a fake manufactured reality with projections of the outside world, so yes, it looked kind of Wes Anderson for a reason, but once the main protagonist got into the outside world, reality is much different, and gritty, and nothing like a Wes Anderson film.

reply

Nope, outside still looks like Wes Anderson's idea of gritty. And why does my heterosexuality always anger you gays?

reply

LMAO, brilliant response Guitar King. 😆

reply

You must be pretty credulous if you think that's a great response.

reply

Sook ma root ya condescending pleb.

reply

I'm sorry you're so simple to be impressed by a guy who doesn't seem to understand what Fallout is about and who deflects any criticism of their dumbass points by accusing them of being heterophobic.

reply

What is "Fallout" about? I could not get through on episode of it. I think it was for ADHD inflicted people who don't have the brains or patience for an actual story.

reply

You are so judgemental towards others it is absurd. And given the amount of time you've told me to just google, it's hilarious you're asking me to walk you through the synopsis.

All Fallout games are set in the far future, hundreds of years after a nuclear apocalypse between the USA and China devastated the world. Each Fallout game takes place in a different part of the USA. Most of the original survivors of this original nuclear confrontation retreated to underground vaults built in preparation by a company called Vault-tec (Silo-esque). Eventually, a "Vault dweller" - who is the player protagonist, an ancestor of the survivors would leave the vault and explore the post-apocalyptic world which is populated by the ancestors of survivors too.

The quirk of Fallout though is that it is a riff, a parody of US cold-war ideas - is that the culture remained 1950's influenced. So the aesthetic is retro-futuristic. The technology is based on what people in the 1950's thought the future would look like. Fallout is an Atompunk series. The idea of radiation also giving people special powers is also true in this universe too, hence the ghouls, super mutants (not in the show yet I believe) and mutated wildlife in the wider world. It is tongue in cheek. It's not a comedy, but it's also not completely serious.

I prefer to think of it as having higher standards. Fallout is what is absurd, and not in an artistic or intellectual way. It is first grader level but with massive disgusting ultraviolence.

Don't take it so personally. I just don't think stupid is funny or has any higher meaning than that the studios have run out of ideas and think this is good enough for dumb Americans.

>I prefer to think of it as having higher standards. Fallout is what is absurd, and not in an artistic or intellectual way. It is first grader level but with massive disgusting ultraviolence.

And you say this having absolutely no exposure to any of the video games.

But implicit in your statement here is also that only 'high art' is of any value, everything must be prestige or it's awful. Not to mention a seemingly prudish fainting-couch reaction to "ultraviolence".

>Don't take it so personally. I just don't think stupid is funny or has any higher meaning than that the studios have run out of ideas and think this is good enough for dumb Americans.

When did you last see Atompunk depicted on TV?

reply

THE GUY WHO THINKS HE IS SUPERIOR...IS ALWAYS THE BIGGEST JACKASS IN THE ROOM...FYI

reply

If you actually enjoy Fallout the show, then you have never played any of the Fallout games and do not understand the actual message of Fallout. How ironic.

reply

I haven't watched it yet.

You do realise the OP turned it off after 10 minutes because he couldn't understand the 1950s music?

reply

Come back when you've watched the series and tell me if you think the Amazon series matches the message and themes of the Fallout games. It's a cheap cash-grab. Beyond him complaining about the music, he is correct. It's a Wes Anderson wet dream.

reply

It may not do. But the OP has no context to compare it to any of them.

>Beyond him complaining about the music, he is correct. It's a Wes Anderson wet dream.

He knows absolutely nothing about the series. Had he ever played a single game, he would know that the 1950s music is a requirement.

reply

IT WAS A COOL SHOW THAT MANY ENJOYED.

reply

Why would anyone want to watch a childish show like “Fallout” when “Lorenzo’s Oil” (featuring Susan Sarandon’s bodacious knockers) is now available in 4K?

reply

I'm not gay, not that it would matter either way, but the irony is you right-wing incel trolls get your panties all in a bunch anytime anything doesn't conform to your standard of "straight, white, non-wokeness". As I said, you're fucking pathetic and you are only proving my point further.

As for @DeckardB26354 you've been outed long ago for being the biggest whiney little bitch here. Not wasting time on you...

reply

Cry harder bitch boy.

reply

Dude, you're the angry one. You couldn't get nailed in woodshop. No wonder your mom locks her door at night.

reply

What's typical is that losers always react fast and with insults.

reply

I would agree here if this was posted by anyone else other than Guitar King, and someone who admits they quit out of the show after 10 minutes because they didn't understand the 1950s aesthetic.

reply

I did not say I did not understand it. It is stupid and obvious enough to understand in a minute or two. What I don't understand is American media's combination of rape-murder ultraviolence and a first-grader intellectual level.

reply

American media isn't a single monolith at all.

And I didn't say you didn't understand it. I said that Guitar King didn't understand it and condemned it for what he didn't understand.

reply

LIKE CALLING PEOPLE LOSERS?...YOU NAILED IT.

reply

I was lucky , I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it .

i say lucky , what probly made it ok was I didnt go out of my way looking for issues with it

reply

I don't go out of my way looking for issues, either. The issues were very obvious and in your face.

reply

ONLY IF YOU ARE FULL OF MISPLACED HATE.

reply

hipster ipod playlist soundtrack...? I haven't started yet, but do you mean 1950s music?

reply

This is what he means. The guy is totally out of touch,

reply

ipod playlist??? the ONLY thing thats actually good in this series is the old school soundtrack from the original game series!

reply

what a fucking idiot, hipster playlist lmao. have you ever played the games??

reply

If you haven't watched the whole thing, your opinion means nothing.

reply
