S7 E 10

So it was Bebe all along! She wasn't part or Kai's cult, he was part of hers. The whole thing was her idea all along. And he was just the tool, the catalyst.
This storyline reminds me of marxist theory, that in order to trigger a workers revolution, things have to get much worse before they can get better. That's why marxist revolutions don't happen in moderate governments where there is a large middle class and people are pacified with semi-comfortable , semi-free, semi-justice, semi-equality. It's still not great but it's just fair enough to keep people complacent..Give them bread and circuses to keep them calm. People need to be suffering to have the motivation to fight.

So Bebe doesn't mind cracking a few eggs to make an omelet. A few women killed, to give millions of women the motivation to have a revolution. And Kai is just the pawn, not the mastermind.
Interesting twist.

That whole subplot seemed tacked on and now is completely pointless.

You have a point, however it backfired and Ally, who should be on her side, killed her.

I wonder if Bebe chose Ally to be her leader after Kai was sacrificed.

Except that it didn't turn out to be *her* cult in the end, did it? She was entirely unsuccessful in her "grand design".

Not sure how all this applies - it's as if you wrote this after only watching half the episode.

I know she was unsuccessful, because she died, but I mean this is AHS, everybody's gonna die by the end. Maybe Ally will be the only survivor, But at least it made some sense of the earlier scene of Bebe and Kai together, I didn't understand why she would be working for his bro-cult, (that was totally out of character for her) but now it is explained.
None of their convoluted plans are going to be successful. Kai seems like he's going to kill all his followers eventually, he keeps picking them off a few at a time, and he will end up like his heroes Jim Jones or Charles Manson- dead or in prison.
Both Kai and Bebe were batshit crazy and their schemes are just too obtuse and labyrinthine to work. It was never going to work, it just makes sense in terms of that character's motivation and other political theory.

The only reason I think Ally might survive, is that actress often seems to get the survivor roles. She goes through hell but she often makes it through.
Kai is getting crazier and more paranoid, and Ally is gaslighting HIM now. Just like he did to her. She knows his weaknesses and she planted that bug to frame Winter.

I think Ally is going to kill Kai and take his place as the leader of the cult. Either that or kill him and just run off to safety with her son. Either way I think Ally is going to come out as the victor.
