I'd start at the beginning Season 1-4 are the better seasons imo None of them are I just finished watching and I have to agree that it's overrated. I think the show has entertainment value and some mystery, but knowing who survives the plane crash and other reveals in "2021" I feel takes away from the 90s flashbacks. I remember seeing promos for "this" in August Maybe she just really couldn't stand Paul - walking around free I thought Susan was the most annoying character, though I still rooted for her and Mike. I believe all of the leading ladies had equal plots, but I guess it depends on what, or who you paid more attention to. I barely watch it Did you prefer him with Lucy? Sorry about that, for the U.S. November is the release date and you can look inside https://www.amazon.com/Supernatural-History-Televisions-Unearthly-Road/dp/1538134497/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=supernatural&qid=1629481642&s=books&sr=1-18 the hype Yeah good questions, I noticed these movies had a lot of inconsistencies After watching a video I was thinking of this prequel again last night. There's a few ways they could probably do this with keeping the "supernatural element" included. If we follow a young Mary meeting John and dating, she'd still be a hunter at this point, right? We would also have to include her parents, but the trouble with that is, the actor who plays her father is on Walker, so unless they recast, get him to do both - I'm not sure what they would do there. Anyways, I could see the first season or so be all about Mary hunting and her relationship with John. But, by season 2 things would have to change, we cant have over 4 or 5 seasons of them just dating, while she hunts and keeps it a secret. I feel it could get boring and currently, I'm not sure it can hold up well. I also thought the show would meet up with Supernatural in some way down the road, like having the last season of John hunting with Dean, but they'd have to use some excellent cgi to do that though. We would have to see Mary & John's lives play out with Dean being born and eventually Sam. But there cant be any hunting, unless they retcon it. I'll be honest, I don't think it's a good idea of a prequel. But, I won't really know what I think until more information is released and their is promo for it...it's still early and it's easy to have the mind wander and think what can happen, what cannot happen. Like there's no way, Castiel can appear unless he's from the future. I really wasn't expecting Liz to be written out that way, but as soon as I saw her wearing white and just pointing a gun at Red, I felt it coming. And they continue to drag out Red's identity, though I saw a lot of people saying it was and Liz was supposedly realizing that Red is Katarina. When I found out about this spin off prequel, I thought "cool" but that soon scattered, because it kind of sounds boring and I really don't know what they could do. In time travel episodes, we saw all we could with the supernatural and learning about the "origins" of Mary's deal and when Anna tried to kill Mary. If they are planning to do a prequel that follows Mary & John sounds kind not "Supernatural" - in the article it mentions nothing about hunting, or the Supernatural elements, it talks about Mary & John's "epic" love story. It sounds like CW to me, but it doesn't sound like "Supernatural" however, that's not points of spin offs, imo. I guess that would be OK, but I would assume fans would want more other than a love story. I like the idea of "Dean" narrating, as if maybe he's reading John's journal(?) but I don't know. They also didn't waste anytime, I mean it hasn't even been a full year since Supernatural officially ended. Another poster said the same thing I thought, John wasn't a hunter until after Mary was killed, and Mary quit hunting after having Dean...somewhat. So, I wouldn't want them to retcon anything. Well, it is still, like brand new news, so it's still in early development, but I personally believe that spinoffs shouldn't rely on the original show..meaning, dont expect Sam & Dean to pop up every other week, Cas shouldn't be involved, there should be nothing supernatural because that's not the premise of this spinoff. As for Jared, perhaps it's how he found out about it and was hurt by the news, but honestly... why? I find it VERY ODD for Jensen not to mention this to Jared, maybe news broke early. Also, I don't think Jared should take offense or be "gutted" because he's doing Walker and if he took any interest in being a part of spinoff, you'd think he and Jensen would've discussed it. I really don't know. Maybe it runs deeper. Wasn't it Jared who didn't want to quit Supernatural and now Jensen and his wife are creating a spinoff.. That's a good question...I really don't know. I wonder that for a lot of shows. But yeah, I think he would've ended the show/boys journey more "bloody" as I think he put it in a interview. I think they brought Mary in for the some of the things you said. I don't think they were thinking to bring JDM back full time or even recurring, but I do believe that they wanted him to return at time some point. The "most" disappointing thing about bringing Mary back is, she ran away basically. It's annoying when shows have this character on, but then not really on. I cant think of the actresses full name, but she wasn't a main character, so they used her when they "could" vs. using her to a full extent. If that makes any sense. And I think her absence made her character dis likable and she was portrayed too rough. Yeah, they did trick us. But they did make Jeanette so secretive. She'd steal stuff and keep things to herself. Who knows what happened after that though. Martin said the police were at his house that day of Jeanette's birthday, so she could've had something to do with that. I remember years ago back on IMDb, people were saying that Red is Liz's mother and I completely thought against that idea/twist. I wonder what the writers are thinking and what, if Red just being her father was what they intended all along.. but then they changed that. I don't know, but they are really dragging this out Probably. I mean, I still enjoyed it for what we could get, but it's still disappointing. I keep forgetting to post my "theories" list on here. Everything got "depowered" in the later seasons, the use of villains, locations, threats, etc.
