As already stated, the movie showed him placing 3rd. How podiums work is they usually have the top 3 winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) all on the podium. With the overall winner (1st place) standing in the middle and 2nd and 3rd place on either side of the winner. Yes I agree if Roma was present during Blake’s tirade, he would not have stood for it like the others did. Roma definitely would have fired back with insults of his own. I get what you’re saying. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I need to watch again some time soon. I appreciate your input. Thank you. I was definitely wowed by the reveals before that (the hole in the wall, rock hammer purpose, bible, etc…) I watch it the day before Thanksgiving or the day of. I just watched it today in fact. Still holds up very well. No idea what you’re talking about. All I know is that we live in a world where some people feel the need to let everyone know they are not racist just because they use the term “black man” when describing a black man. And it’s ridiculous. I don’t agree. I think the plot by itself would cause it to be different than what we’ve seen. That’s what’s wrong with the world we live in. Everyone is so terrified of offending anyone for any thing that we can’t even have a normal conversation anymore. If the agent was white would you have said “was the white agent (not racist) in on it?” No you wouldn’t. So why the need to put that disclaimer just by saying the word black? I don’t understand that at all. Bottom line, the agent was black. It’s ok to call him black. Since that’s literally what he is. You actually caused it to be an issue when it was a non issue by swearing you aren’t racist and making sure you state that fact just in case anyone saw your post and called you racist. You see how you’re drawing attention to something that should have not had any attention drawn to it? I just can’t anymore with how sensitive people are. I see your point about Moss. He does give off a tough working class vibe. The winner would definitely be between him, Blake and Roma. Roma gives off that vibe if growing up tough and always getting into fights with his friends and neighborhood kids. That’s a good point you have. And also why they are last place on my list :-) View all replies >
