People don't like anyone being smarter,better,wealther etc.
Yeah, it's like he had no weaknesses and they had no strengths.

shareMaybe you should follow the series more closely. I'm a recent convert, having been binge watching it since I discovered it. I feel that I've seen numerous examples by now of where he seemed to experience self-doubt. Just today, there was an episode where he was taunted by Red John and it affected his focus. He went on a drunken binge and destroyed all of his files. He admitted that he felt defeated and all of his colleagues expressed that he appeared to be off his game. That was shortly followed by another episode where his perception was seriously affected by accidentally having ingested belladonna laced tea, which had produced intense hallucinations.
