Another question about the ENDING, spoilers.

So will Morales EVER voluntarily release Gomez and will Gomez EVER even get someone to talk to him (also, why didn't Ricardo Darin's character even say ONE WORD in that scene, was he really so surprised and off-guard?) during all those years of home imprisonment or will he be locked up there forever until he dies?
