[Oliver Reed was] scary at first because he was always testing you all the time. Difficult but not as difficult as Klaus Kinski. Because Oliver actually had a sense of humour. I was rather fond of him; he could be tricky but he was quite warm really. He just played games and was rather macho and so on. Klaus Kinski was very cold.share
The main problem with the film was that the two didn’t get on and they fought like cats. Kinski of course is a fabulous film actor and he’s good in the part, the part suits him very well. They were both well cast but it was a very unhappy film. I think Klaus was the problem but then Oliver spent half the movie just trying to rub him up, pulling his leg all the way. There were shouting matches because Oliver just wouldn’t let up. None of this is about art. All the things that you’re trying to concentrate on tend to slip. So it was not a happy period.
That’s some very interesting behind the scenes information right there. I’ve never seen this one so I’m adding it to my watchlist.

shareWow! There is something really horrifying about an aggressive snake that strikes multiple times and is extremely venomous. I grew up in Cottonmouth country but damn, it would be a nightmare to get attacked by one of those mambas. Cottonmouths are lethargic compared to that thing.
The death of the girl was brutal and then Kinski wrestling with the thing was bonkers. lol
I haven't seen all of their work but these are actresses who I have worked through fair chunks of their past filmography and that I will actively seek out almost all of their new releases.

Rebecca Hall, Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley & Audrey Hepburn have some major pull too.
Whilst actresses have more sway with me, actors like Christopher Lee, Vincent Price & Peter Cushing have some pull. Lee and Cushing are my most and third most watched actors respectively (in large part due to all their Hammer production collaborations), Samuel L. Jackson is second most.
