If you want to know why Masterson got such a harsh sentence, it's because one of the women accusing him is married to Cedric Bixler-Zavala, a member of alternate rock bands, At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta.

And who is Cedric Bixler-Zavala?

He happens to be a very close friend and former bandmate of Beto O'Rourke, the Democrat darling who keeps trying to turn Texas blue. They were in an early '90s El Paso Emo band called Foss together. Obviously Beto has political clout and can exert a certain degree of influence.

I can't stand O'Rourke, but I have a hard time believing that in this day and age someone like him could have the clout to railroad someone in a trial.

I have a pretty high bar that needs to be cleared before I start giving conspiracy theories any consideration.

Beto is a failed presidential and gubernatorial candidate who keeps losing and has no actual political power. he isnt a governor, he isn't a senator or congressman.

What I resent Lib is someone being put in prison for 30 years for nothing more than the Oprah #Me Too Justice System wanting to call the shots and I'm sorry but that's not how the Justice System works and if these women were so put out by Danny Masterson they should've come forward 22 years earlier, wouldn't you say??

work it into attacking the whole justice system.

To bring up the question of time means you want to
let certain criminals pass the finish line which I don't
think is a good idea.

A crime is a crime at any time, and it is the burden of
the attornies general to interpret the weight of the crime.

It's just not as easy or profitable as you with your clever
slam seem to think it is for women to make up crimes
that you brush off as a joke.

Hoaxsters get found out which is even worse.
