That makes a lot of sense.

I always winced when they actually used unattractive people in unattractive roles. I remember when an obnoxious fat woman was busting Al Bundy's balls, and her equally obnoxious fat daughter was sitting next to her. When the daughter questioned Al's bleak future, he said something to the effect that her future was sitting in the seat next to her.

Funny stuff but she was hired because she was obese.

Yeah I can see that.

However I do feel that there are people who are self-aware enough, yet still completely accepting and confident about who and what they are and therefore dont feel offended. Wee Man from the Jackass crew comes to mind. Hes completely aware most of the stunts and jokes around him are because of who he is and he embraces it.
