Disturbing: 17 years age difference between Daniel Craig and Léa Seydoux! - No Time to Die (2021) Discussion

I don't know how old Madeleine's character is supposed to be, but Léa is in her mid 30s.

What's wrong with that?

I wondered the same thing. It’s not “disturbing” at all. Many women prefer more mature men, who actually know what to do with a woman.

Much as I hate whataboutism, Roger Moore and Tanya Roberts (ages 59 and 32) looked far more ridiculous together.

Plus that, Seydoux has an "old soul" look to her. I noticed it in "Ghost Protocol," when she was only 25 yet seemed far more worldly and sophisticated than most of her co-stars

IIRC Moore said something like 'I didn't mind when I started having to have stunt doubles during the action scenes, but when I started having to have them in the love scenes it was time to quit.'

They are consenting adults who are both of legal age, and in the real world, there are many couples with wide age gaps. I think you have a problem.

You have a valid point. Someone saying they don't approve of age gaps between two consenting adults is no different than saying they don't approve of interracial and/or gay relationships between consenting adults - judgmental and intolerant.

A father 17 years old? Watch the movie or don't. I have to assume by now everyone knows what the James Bond franchise is all about, not to mention, Hollywood itself. So if you are going to criticize, how about something a bit more sophististicated and intellectual? If you are going to moralize, why were you watching it in the first place?

In "Sabrina (1995)" the age gap is 23 years.

In "First Knight (1995)" the age gap is 35 years.

In "Entrapment (1999)" the age gap is 39 years.

I understand your idea from another thread of hate, stronger than love. Yet people act from human will, more often than intellect. In fact, it's better to not rely solely on what's known outside of experience. Anyway, the reason to believe in divine love, is really because it's using all the mind, soul and strength.
