Reeveman's Replies

It was either season five or early season six when I couldn’t take it anymore. Terrible, terrible show. No, it’s dead…finally dead. For the sake of humanity, the entire series master tapes should be loaded into the rear of an AMC Pacer, shot full of holes, lit on fire, crushed into a cube, then sent back in time to the Trinity site at the moment of detonation. The resulting Trinitite/FTWD mix should then be bulldozed into a large mound and nuked again then fill the crater with concrete. Only then will we be safe. Exactly! It’s like they were manufactured with really crap tolerances and just rattle in a stiff wind. Same thing happens whenever some actor picks up a knife if makes this unsheathing noise. Amen to that. However, I hope they don’t believe that by simply resigning they are immune from any future repercussions of their actions during their tenure. You’re pretty much spot on with your character assessment. No characters to like or root for with the exception of Daniel in those early stages in my opinion. Most of the time they repeatedly did stupid things that no sentient being would do. It was like an improv exercise where the director would just tell the actors “You’re in a room with some scary zombies. What do you do? And action!” Cut! Print! There’s your episode. Looking back I guess the main thing that comes to mind for me was after watching each episode I was left with the feeling that nothing happened. The entire hour long episode and I’m asking myself what the @#$* was that about. Stunning head to toe. I haven’t seen the original movie but I have to say Gina is smoking hot in this one! Truth is I would have bailed on this movie fifteen minutes in but I stayed with it because she did a great job and, oh yeah, she’s very easy on the eyes. I though she was hotter than her friend. A great actor that will be missed… Eye makeup/lip injections or not…this is 100% human… https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4793106/mediaviewer/rm2882090752?ref_=ext_shr_lnk I get what you mean though and it’s a good question. Why…why did you have to raise awareness of this woman!? I went and looked at her pictures on IMDb and the next thing I know I’ve been wandering around a parking lot mumbling “mommy” to myself and it’s two hours later. I’ll never get that time back! All kidding aside, she is an absolutely stunning woman. So, yeah, just wow! Emily Campagno is scorching hot, smart, and has a great sense of humor. I love it when she’s on Gutfeld. Same here. Seems like The Simpson’s and The X-Files ruled the airwaves from the early 90’s to the turn of the century. Sure, there were a few forgettable episodes but also some great stand-alone episodes and even better story arcs. But, thirty years is a long time and it just slipped away. Which is why I was shocked to see Comet TV now airs The X-Files. Nothing says you’re getting old like having the cool, hip show you loved now residing in what is essentially broadcasting’s bargain bin. C’est la vie. Carmelita hands down with Marge a close second. You gotta figure Estrella had Ortega’s stink all over her after being constantly pawed by him so she’s out. Angela and her mother are too high maintenance for my taste. Neither look like they know how to have fun. Stella is that malleable chick with no original thoughts of her own you go see when you just want a quickie. Bad singer (Scat singer?) looks like Resuci Anne’s grandmother. Really, really bad singer (Schick out of shape chick?) looks like she’d be a lot of fun and has the goods to back it up. Probably wouldn’t mind if you brought Cleaning Lady over for some added fun. Anyway, nice thought exercise. From “The Blood Waters of Dr. Z.”: “You know you’re watching a bad movie when the monster has to use the hand rail to get up the steps.” Had I ever watched the movie by itself such a minor detail would have never even registered but that is the genius of MST3K. I think by watching the show it trains our brains to see some of life’s little absurdities that zip past us at light speed and are often hilarious. I love this show. Cozi TV has it on currently. I don’t recall watching it during its original run but now I’m catching up and I love this show! I was an EMT/firefighter in a volunteer fire department just a few years after this show ended and does this bring back the memories. Not a fan of the S7 “movies” though. I’m watching an episode now with her in it and she’s insufferable. Along with Quincy chewing the scenery nonstop now we have this smug self-righteous shrew judging everyone from her high horse. Now the two of them run around injecting themselves into everyone’s business whether they want it or not. It’s…it’s just terrible. Gone are the good old days when it was just Quincy that would have a five minute conversation with an “expert” then take that limited information to go around shaming everyone else for their ignorance. And let’s not forget the constant gesticulating! Every deli should have a sandwich composed of white bread, mayo, and a massive pile of ham with a sour pickle on the side and call it the “Quincy”. So which part did you find “pseudoscientific”? “Them” is my favorite atomic-age monster movie and “Eight Legged Freaks” is a good second because it’s pure camp and has Kari Wuhrer and an early Scarlet Johannson. So the person third in line to the Presidency who is fully vaxxed and no doubt has top medical care gets Covid anyway and has most likely spread it on to others, possibly even the President himself and no one says foul. Meanwhile, countless working class serfs with strong natural immunity to Covid lose their jobs to “slow the spread”. Only within the liberal’s narrow reality does that make any sense. Bodymore, Murdaland.
