Message boards will never change [insert laughing smiley] Not that I'm aware of, but it will happen eventually :) Why would people want to privately message each other anyway? Out of curiosity... It's like some weird deletion epidemic. What's going on? Maaan, I leave for 1 second and this controversial 'commercial' gets deleted :@ I now have the curiosity itch that can't be scratched. Damn it. And I'm prepared to wait as long as it takes for this place to grow. It just requires patience and faith, and most of all a positive attitude. Society is so dominated by instant gratification that people have lost the capacity to wait, and expect everything now. This board deserves a chance, and like others have said, Rome wasn't built in a day, and we need people like you to remain here to keep this place active to draw the attention of others. Don't give up on us. Haha, I don't think it's so much to do with popularity but more so to do with excessive posting on my part :) But yes it's much easier to locate responses. Before the notifications feature, I had to enter my profile, click on every link to all my posts and threads, and ctrl + f (insert Babetron) to find anything. Gruesome task at that. What I'm most dreading in doing is heading into the 'Your Names' thread that I created. /cry I have a silly, relentless urge in replying to the majority of responses. Why do I do this to myself? ^^ IMDb didn't appear to understand. Those who don't frequent the online world will just think we're screen geeks. And loved ones will just pretend to understand, vacantly nod their heads, and resume their other worldly endeavours. I quite like that we all share this implicit interest. It's like a magical, secret garden that only those seeking it would find. Old friends of Moralesantjr, make yourselves known! (I hope your name is the same as you had it on IMDb) I'm sure we'll all reconnect with our long-lost forum friends eventually. I don't have any, but I have faith this place will bring you guys back together :) It's super sufficient and beneficial, isn't it? Except after being absent for merely 2 days, I have 40 notifications which looks and feels daunting. I feel like a student again buried under overdue tasks. God help me. Hang on, did I just respond to a troll? I've been absent for a couple of days :@ Because... money. We're basically force fed excessive fads in media to coerce us into buying. Everything is governed by money in modern society. But there are a vast majority who aren't so naive, cognitively lazy, and/or a simple-minded drone. There are many individuals who choose to not adhere to the status quo and follow their intuition, heart and common sense instead. It's in our human nature, biologically and evolutionary speaking, to conform to society. But the extent to which we do is largely dictated by our personalities and intelligence. Those, I believe, who harbour the capacity to tap into their higher consciousness', don't easily fall prey to brain-washing. The very fact that you're even asking these questions suggests to me that you're someone who follows his own path. Just be careful not to fall too deep into the existential enquiries of life, or you'll be buried under endless doubts and miseries. Knowledge is power but it does carry a heavy burden. Perhaps in future as this board sets off, we could do a poll on who we feel would be a good moderator. First, users will need to volunteer as a candidate, then we could all vote. A moderator would need to be readily available and frequent this board, i.e. not a full-time worker, etc, and be trustworthy. Of course we could have more than one moderator. Just thinking out loud :) I'm sure all this will fall into place eventually! It would certainly tidy this forum up if we did have one. Though I can imagine Jim is inundated with coding tasks so I refrain from prodding too much and rather let him catch up with the necessities first. This site is still a baby that we need to gently nurture. Jim, I worked a 24 hour shift today so I'm about to crash in bed and will resume replying to all these posts tomorrow. Until then, I mustered up the bit of energy I have left to ask you... what does your name mean, Jim? What inspired you? Is it the same name you had on IMDb? Were you even involved as a poster on the IMDb boards? This should be interesting. 'Jim' has definitely got a background story to it, yup. Well my name is a regretful mistake. It was a temporary gaming name I had, inspired by the 80s era where cassettes and radios were a thing (I love the 80s). Babe in the sense that I'm female, vivacious and maybe a bit of a shameless minx sometimes as I can be overly candid, and 'station' signifying a destination to tune into or to arrive at. It's shallow and stupid but the only reason why I used it on here was because I needed something quick to just log in and see what all the fuss is about in here, and didn't plan on even sticking around. And now I'm stuck in here, and stuck with this name. At face value I know everyone is thinking I'm a stuck up hoe bag. Life is good. You've used the same name for 13 years? Wow. Shubhendu is your real first name? It's a beautiful name. It sounds even more beautiful as the 'r's roll off my tongue. I love saying it. The number must mean something! I cannot accept. Find the meaning. Dig deep into your subconsciousness and find the answer. It might be something mind-blowing! You give your cats more than one name?
